If you prefer, then you can buy Transcribe! for Windows or Mac on CD from Jazzwise in the UK, rather than downloading the software from this site and paying on the Buy page of this site. The price is naturally higher when bought on CD, because of the cost of physical production and distribution.
The advantages are:
- It means you have a hard-copy backup of the software and the license key (since that's what you get on the CD).
- It's easy to install on a computer which isn't connected to the internet.
Note that on the Jazzwise site they also offer the download version, which in fact will take you back to our site to buy from us. If you want the CD version then you must press the "Add To Cart" button on the Jazzwise site. This will get you a CD, sent from the UK at a cost of £39.95 GBP plus shipping.

The CD in fact contains the current version of Transcribe! and the old version 6 too, for users who have older computers which cannot run the current version (which requires Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 or Mac 10.3.4 or later). The license key (unique for each customer) is also on the CD.
Transcribe! is sold by Jazzwise with exactly the same license agreement as if it was bought online. This means that you get support in the same way - by email from Seventh String (andy@seventhstring.com) - and your entitlement to future upgrades is the same. Of course, it is likely that Jazzwise will make future upgrades available on CD too, for those who prefer physical delivery.
